The advanced mechanism features a custom machined original HEAVY KATO chassis, (not the current lightweight Decoder
Ready version), & a new, (revised version) motor-flywheel-universal-worm gear assembly. All 4 axles provide dependable
power pickup, & a oversize 220mF / 25v 'keep alive' capacitor helps ensure uninterupted sound even over dirty track.
Signal/power is maintained via screw terminals directly attached to each frame half. All internal elecrical connections are encapsulated in shrink tubing or insulated with Kapton tape.

The state-of-the-art Micro-Tsunami decoder provides absolutely supurb oily-smooth control throughout the factory
preset speed tables. The sound must be heard to be believed .... horns, bells, engine startup & idle, reving up RPM's,
brake squeal, coupler clank, compressors ..... all super crisp, rich, & clear .... & all easily modified to your own tastes.
Contributing to the outstanding sound produced by this design is the fitting of the oversize dynamic QSI / TDS 5/8" dia.

Because of the size & location of the speaker/capacitor, this design allows only one
powered truck. But, there is still plenty of traction/weight to readily pull 10-14 (or more),
free-rolling freight cars - a very acceptable compromise considering the sound quality.
The powered truck is a KATO revised low-friction/quiet unit & the front truck is a KATO
unit set up as a idler w/power pickup. This 'B' unit's sound is very adequate as the only
sound source in a 'A-B' consist, or even a 'A-B-A' lashup, but some customers have
chosen to add a drop-in sound decoder to one of their 'A' units to get additional exhaust
blast. I have also built a few 'A-B-B-A' consists where both both 'B' units are TSU-750
equipped ..... outrageous sound, and great exhaust pulse separation.
